Choose the Right Size of Dining Tables

Understanding how the dining table will fit within your room is crucial. Consider its placement in relation to other furniture, doorways, and walls, ensuring there is adequate space for movement.

Clearance Space: A good rule of thumb is to allow a minimum of 30 to 36 inches (76cm) of clearance from the table to the nearest obstruction, be it a wall, door, window, or another piece of furniture. This ensures comfortable navigation around the table.

Doorways and Entrances: For areas with doorways, provide at least 120cm of space to allow for easy access. In open-plan areas, this consideration is less critical but still worth noting for optimal flow and functionality.

Room Proportions: To avoid selecting a dining table set that's too small for your space, ensure there are no more than 6 feet (183cm) from the table's edge to the room's boundary on at least one side. This helps maintain balance and proportion within the room.
